The Crew
Tony .Driver and general gofer
Theresa .Scrapbook shopper extraordinaire
Peggy (my mum) ..Ill go on anything as long as its not upside down or do big drops .
Zena (my aunt) .Ditto
Up bright and early today, we were at the transportation and ticket centre by 8.30. It was early entry for resort guests so the rope drop was here and not at the park.
We had to get our traditional family shot by the Mickey flower bed.
Then watching them take it all in was magical. It made me feel all good inside to think Id brought my Mum to Disney after all the Disney classics she had taken me to see at the cinema as a child.
When we got into the park it was quite busy and we decided to go round clockwise and try to avoid criss-crossing the park as much as we could as it was really hot again.
Their first ride was The Jungle Cruise which they really enjoyed. We followed this with Pirates and then, what turned out to be their favourite ride at MK, BTMR. I didnt ride as I wanted to get their picture on it. Theresa said Mum was laughing and screaming all at the same time and she managed to get most of it on camcorder, but Ive not seen it yet.
They then added We also dont do big drops to the list when I suggested Splash Mountain.
Next up was the Haunted Mansion, Small World (loved it), Peter Pan, Philharmagic, Winnie the Pooh, Minnies House and the train around the park before our 1.00 ADR at The Liberty Tree Tavern. Just to please Nat and Susan here are the food pictures: Pilgrims Turkey for Theresa, Pot Roast for Me, and Mum and Zena had the Colony Salad.
For dessert, Zena and I had Apple Pie and Cinnamon Ice-cream and Theresa had Toffee Gooey Cake. All very nice apart from the Pot Roast which was a bit over cooked.
Total Bill $91 inc. tip after DDE discount.
The original plan had been to stay in the park all day and watch Spectromagic and Wishes but after doing Stitch, Buzz, TTA and Carousel of Progress the ladies were starting to flag so as we still had plenty of days we could come back, we decided to call it a day.
We headed back to the condo and Theresa had a power nap while I went to the pool with Mum and Zena where we had a couple, OK several, cocktails while listening to Elvis performing in full Vegas regalia.
We ordered a chicken dinner to go from the pool bar and took it back to the condo to share out while we all watched The Silver Surfer on HBO.
