T-Rex

I don't question any of your time estimates for travel, but my goodness how does lunch take so long. 75-95 minutes to eat lunch?! What are they serving there?

I includes the WAIT to be seated.
Something that is very likely to happen.

I also have a much different approach to eating while at WDW. We eat out of necessity, since it's needed to live and all that. But eating is a just a means to get back out to the parks and have fun. I'll have plenty of time to eat at nice restaurants at home.
The wait to be seated is put into that time as well, which, even with an ADR, can be 15ish minutes (or more!).

Then, personally, I don't rush through my meals. I'm spending a lot of money to eat at Disney. I'm going to take my time and enjoy the experience and food. It also will depend on the number of courses you get, if you order drinks, if you like to sit over coffee, and on and on and on. So many variables that are unique for each person so it's best to give a higher estimate. Plan for the worst, always be prepared, that sort of thing.

T Rex is unique for variety of reasons. One, it is a Landry restaurant and even with an ADR people with the Landry card WILL be seated before you even without reservation. two, its Rainforest cafe on Steroids. the show is bigger, louder and more intense.

it's extremely loud even without the show going on in the background. we thought food was overall better than Rainforest, but since the place is packed from open to close the waitstaff often get overwhelmed and service was very slow, and all e had were sandwiches, no apps or dessert. at lunch, on a weekday. we waited no lie 45 minutes AFTER our ADR before we were even seated.

we are the exact opposite.. we view meals as a way to recharge, catch our breath and relax before heading back out into the mass insanity that is the parks. we tend to only do TS meals, even on park days. but for DTD/DS we schedule a day for JUST that area, we do not do parks along with.

OK, I'm confused. In the original post you said that you're going to do T-Rex on your Epcot day. But then in a later post, you said you're going on the day you land, and that you also have FPs for MK that day. Which is it?

So does the Landry card cost anything? I know back in 99-00 Rainforest Café had a card, which included priority seating, but it cost money. There were talks about Landry buying them, but it had yet to happen.

Yeah we switched the reservation from Epcot day after the subsequent posts. We didn't want to nix the T-Rex completely and they ended up having an opening the day we land (and we are 8 people so I was surprised) but I guess that's not gonna work either. I'm running out of places to potentially schedule it.

Are you able to take a cab directly to T-Rex from the airport? That would buy you some time.
