T-Rex

Hello All! I have a couple of quesitons about the new T-Rex restraut at Downtown Disney.

My son is celebrating his 7th birthday on Saturday October 3rd and he is determined to eat at T-Rex either Friday or Saturday.

Is it possible to have a cake at the table? Would this be considered the same cakes as the other Disney restraunts? Also can you have the Disney goodie bags brought to the table? Both of these are listed under the Disney dinning section of what are you going to celebrate.

Next question....I am trying to make ADR's online and they are saying nothing is availible, does that make any difference if I call? If I can not get an ADR does any one know what the wait time usually is?

Not sure about the cake or goodie bags, but I would assume not. You could always call Disney dining and ask.

I tried to get a ressie for our trip 60 days out and couldn't get anything through Disney. I called the restaurant directly and had my pick of times.

T-rex has a dessert called chocolate extinction that when they bring it to the table there is a container in the middle that is "smoking" like crazy as if it's a volcano. It's really dry ice. The dessert itself is very good and very large. It's the best chocolate cake I've ever had with vanilla ice cream and caramel and chocolate sauce drizzled over it. There are four large servings on the platter. We ordered it for my son's birthday. The waiters came out with it and sang happy birthday to my son. He absolutely loved it!

Is Landry Restaurant the same as Olive Garden or Red Lobster? COuld I use a Landry gift card for TRex?

You should be able to use the generic Landry ones there, but you might check ahead of time to see if it's say Olive Garden whether or not they'd accept that one. Chances are they will, but it's best to check ahead.
