Has anyone tried this place yet? We have reservations for Rainforest Cafe in AK but since my DD loves dinosaurs I am thinking of canelling it and trying this instead. I know they are not accepting reservations, anyone know how hard it is to get in? Thanks! :)

it is loud, very loud... it is expensive, very expensive. You could eat at Jiko much cheaper and get much better food. and Kids find the loud dinosaurs scary

I take it you didn't care for it? :rotfl:

Personally, I find the gorillas over at Rainforest freaky/scary & would much rather have a raptor growling at me. Cost isn't a concern as we $75 in earned giftcards.

I've read that the waits in the afternoon are averaging about 40 minutes after standing in a 15 minute line to put the name in. The line in the evening will be longer of course. I'm hoping to try T-rex with my kids also & will see if they're taking reservations around 11am but still anticipate a long wait.

:dance3:

I was there last week. I didn't eat there but went in to check it out. It was extremely loud but the food smelled good. There were several kids crying at the animated dino when you first walk in. There didn't seem to be a long wait but I think it depends when and and what time you go.

Thanks, I think we will just go to Rainforest since we already have a reservation, I don't want to chance waiting in a long line.

My husband and I dined there in early November and we had the best time. We thought we would try it out and were glad we did. We were seated in the Ice Cave and loved it. We are taking our 18 year old daughter who is college and her boyfriend back in December. Usually, I am more the Citricos or Blue Zoo type, but this was such fun!!! The food was on par with Rainforest.

We were just there a little over a week ago with our 2 girls - 4 and 7. We all loved it. It was expensive and loud, but our girls didn't think it was scary - they thought it was cool. There is a lot to look at. Don't know if we would ever go back, but am glad we did it once to check it out. We got there around 4:00 at were seated right away.

We were there Friday. They open at 11:00 and we were there about ten minutes early. We waited 15 minutes or so. My son LOVED the dinos and took about three walks through the restaurant. The food was good but my Paleo Shrimp was cold. I sent it back and they cooked me another. It was fantastic.

We were there in Oct shortly after it opened. We didn't have a long wait. we ate in the Ice Room and didn't find it loud at all and my one son has issues with loud noises and he was fine. Go and check it out. If the wait isn't long definately give it a try esp if your D likes dinos.

we ate there wednesday night. we waited 55 minutes. ( quoted 40 minutes) the food was good but $$$. Our son loved all the dinosaurs and since it was his bday trip- we did the whole thing including build a dino.... It could be a place that could scare younger ones so I would be prepared if that is a factor with your kids..
