We have three boys and I am thinking they will love it. We are doing the QSD plan, but I was thinking of doing one TS. Any thoughts on T-rex?

We loved T-Rex. My little girl loved seeing the little Mammoths move and make noise. I had the,I think was called, brontoburger and it was awesome. IMHO eating the food is one of the best parts of going to WDW.

We went with 4 boys ages 10, 13, 16, & 18. We really liked it. It was almost exactly like Rainforest Cafe, except with dinosaurs. We had the brontoburgers and someone got the nachos. The food was good.

June. I have two kids and they really liked it. I personally though the selection was better at RFC but T-Rex has a lot of fans. It's definitely worth trying it out yourself.

We're eating here on the first day of our trip...super excited about it!!

Has anyone had the Triassic Tuna appetizer?

Was it as good as it sounds?

Is it big enough to eat as an entree?

We thought the food was good - better than RFC. There are a few pictures in my Food report below if you would like to see some!

Great food and great atmosphere but really pricey!!! Of course 4 drinks at $13 a pop probably coulda had something to do with that!!!!

It's pricy but not out of the norm for Disney! We loved it both in ambiance and food. The portions are huge and we ordered the 2 dip appetizer, the cheese dip is really good, the other wasn't my favorite. My son had the French Onion Soup, which I tasted and it was good too. I had the chicken pot pie, this is enormous, and would easily feed two people. It was creamy with white meat rotiserrie chicken, it was really good. Unfortunately after all this we were to stuffed to try the sparkling volcanic chocolate dessert that kept walking past us. I wish they had this restaurant years ago, my son is 13 and though he enjoyed it, I think it's even more appreciated by younger children. P.S. I had a frozen mojito, pretty darn good! We are doing it again in Feb, this time no appetizers, hoping to have room for dessert.!

We've eaten there twice and really enjoyed it.

I didn't find it overly pricey.

The portions are large, we all had food left over and no room for dessert.

The table across from us all split entees, and they were brought extra plates.

We are not sharers, we all like to have our own food, but if we were there prob would have been enough to share and we may have had room for dessert.

We just ate there last week. I don't have kids, but the big kid I was with really liked it. The food was great - Rob had ribs and I had the brontoburger. We also split an order of the mozzerlla sticks for an appy. Prices were pretty in line with Disney. Our waiter was great - very attentive, fun, knew the menu well, and was very knowledgeable about all the dinosaurs. I will say, it gets a little loud during meteor showers and I noticed that scared a few of the much younger kids. Overall, it was a great experience and I'm glad we tried it.

Ate there the week after they opened and truly enjoyed it. I shared the Boneyard buffet, ribs & half of a rotisserie chicken, garlic mashed potatoes and baked beans with my then 13YO, and my then 11YO ate off of the chicken along with her kidsmeal. DH even picked off of it as well. The ribs were fall off the bone tender. May try to get over there next month!

We ate there last Jan. and the food was good. However, we were seated in the ice room and it was sooooooo loud and dark whenever the "meteor shower" was going on (happens every 15 to 20 minutes). We walked around some of the other areas of the restaurant and I think I really would have preferred eating outside of the cave!

My kids liked it, but they aren't begging to go back.

We ate there for my birthday in June and the food was wonderful, much better than RFC. I had the Triceratop Filet and it was melt in your mouth tender. I would never pay that much for a steak ordinarily and I didn't regret it one bit.Dh had the Stegosaurus Cheese steak with waffle fries and they weren't your ordinary fries.

If you are a member of the Safari Club, you can get a 10% discount. Our waiter, Jason, I think was wonderful and he even brought me a surprise dessert.

I regret not going back a second time, but we decided to go to Planet Hollywood, BIG mistake.

We found T-Rex to be loud and crowded when we went in August. However, the food was really good. The decor is over the top--the whole family loved the atmosphere (but oh, that noise!).

My husband and I split a yummy sandwich--the portions are so large. The kids really enjoyed it so I'm glad that we went but we won't probably go back for quite a while.

We have eaten there several times and always enjoyed it, except for the last time we visited. The food was previously consistent and great. On our last visit my wife's Triassic Tortellini was dry and didn't have enough sauce. My Paleozoic Chicken Sandwich was dry and lacked the flavor that it had on our previous visits. We were a bit disappointed but will likely give them another try.

We really loved TRex in Feb. Can't WAIT to go back in 3 weeks and 1 day!

I always reply to "TRex" threads just to spread the love -- it was just SO much fun for us!
