T-Rex Restaurant

We were there on Sunday evening. No ressie's and only had a 40 min wait. The decor is amazing. It is well worth a visit. Food a little pricey but okay.
DTD was insanely crazy.

We ate at T-Rex 3-9-09 for lunch. We didn't have ressies but we also went at 1:00pm for lunch. It was really dead. I mean, half the restaurant was empty. We got to sit in the ice cavern that changes colors when the meteor shower hits.

Our food experience was similar to Noogagirl's. The food was just alright. The tomato basil soup was amazing and you get a lot of it! We had burgers for lunch which were just ok. They didn't ask us how we wanted them cooked and when we questioned this, our server said it's cooked a standard way. :confused3

Other than the food, the decor is amazing, even down to the bathrooms. One thing, and this is just me being nitpicky, is the reef tank thats in the bar area is fake. We asked if it's real, they said yes, but being avid reef keepers, we could tell. Regardless, they did an amazing job at decorating. I would have loved to be the interior designer for that restaurant!:lmao:

Thanks Lily, by the looks of it, my son Brian will probably eat the same thing you did. I made reservation for June, so we're all set. Thanks for the pictures and the review. Your slushy looks "awsome"!

We just ate dinner there on Monday and loved it! This was a last minute trip for us, so ADR's were scarce. The 3 new places we tried this time were T-REX, Boma, and the Plaza at MK. T-REX was the best by far! I had lasagna, it was wonderful, and dh had the ribs which I snuck a few bites of and they were really, really good! The kids had the dino shaped chicken, jello and fries and ate it all. Our server was Kip and had maybe an Australian accent (?). He was great!!!

Much, much better than Rainforest. Of course our kids (5 and 2) had to build a dino!!

I'm SO excited...just got off the phone making our adrs for June 20th. We are looking forward to the experience:goodvibes

I don't remember what it was called, but I'm sure they'll know what you mean if you say the big slushie in the souvenir cup. :rotfl: I DO remember it cost $6.95!! :scared1: It had 2 different flavors of slushie in it. Lily certainly LOVED it, but she's all about slushies in cool cups!
