T-Rex or Rainforest cafe in DTD?

Which restaurant has the best tasting food? We are picky and although we ate at Rainforest Cafe in DTD before and loved it, I'm wondering in comparison of the two should we try T Rex or skip it this time?

Yes, T-Rex has more variety so we had entrees there. When we did Rainforest Cafe, we just ordered a bunch of different appetizers and then had the Sparkling Volcano dessert. We didn't do dessert at T-Rex but I think they have something similar.

I am planning to try TRex during our upcoming trip. I like RC, but we've been to both locations on property and even have one close to home, so I'm ready for something new!

I like TREX much better IMO. The atmosphere and menu are better. We never had a bad meal there. :thumbsup2

Another vote for T-Rex. Not that the food was bad at Rainforest, but we enjoyed T-Rex more for both environment and food.

For us, definitely T-Rex. Not only because we like the Dino theming better. BUT we also found the food better.

Wow I was trying to decide the same thing! Looks like T-Rex has the majority. Too bad it's all booked up for my dates.

Like them both but lean towards Rainforest for various reasons but if you call the T-Rex direct they usually have plenty of reservations open. Online dining site only gets a few of the spots.

Im happy to see so many good reviews on TREX - its really hard to get a reservation there and I was finally able to snag a lunch res for our last day at DW.... I got a res for like 130 and we leave for the airport around 5 :)
looking forward to eating there! :cool1:

Thanks everyone! I think we'll try TRex this time. The kids might be sad because they LOVE RFC - DTD but who knows? Maybe it'll be a new favorite for them???

:rotfl2:

Call TRex directly for a reservation.

Yep! Call directly.

Also, t-rex, RFC and Y&Y are all part of the Landry's chain. You can get their Landry's Select card. It costs $25 but you get a $25 dining credit automatically added to your card. You get another $25 credit added to use during your birthday month. And you accumulate points good towards future credits.

I ordered my card before my visit so I had it with me when I went. I don't know if you can sign up for it at the restaurants or not. It also gives you priority seating.

If I had to choose one and was forced to eat there it would be T Rex. But both are pretty bad.

Also, anyone know if you can use both the initial credit and the birthday month credit at the same time with the Landry's Select Club?

There was a thread about this a while back. Several people responded that they were able to use both at the same time.
