T-Rex or House of Blues

We are trying to pick between T-Rex and HoB for dinner and are having a bit of trouble. We would probably pick T-Rex over House of Blues, but there is a Restaurant.com gift card for House of Blues that would save us around $22. Any input is appreciated.

True. T-rex is more fun for kids, but the food is pretty average. HOB has yummy food, though if your kids are picky eaters I'd just do T-rex.

We love T-rex and have never tried HOB but if you can save $$ and think the menu looks good. I say try HOB!

We ate at T-Rex on Saturday and HOB tonight. I have to say, we were all pleasantly surprised with the food at T-Rex. I really wasn't expecting much, but the food was very good. Our waiter was SUPER helpful and actually guided us in ordering, but the food was delicious. My mom and I got mahi-mahi, which was great. My husband got fish tacos, also great. And my dad got ribs, which he loved. The kids loved their meals too.

We also really liked HOB. We had the wings, calamari, and burgers. All very good. I would say that if you have young children, go with T-Rex. My girls LOVED it and keep asking to go back. It was definitely an experience for them (and us!). HOB was good but the overall experience for kids is nothing much.

I don't think one was particularly more expensive than the other, although we did have a $50 coupon to HOB from Restaurants.com, which helped. Hope this helps a little!!!

the past two years i've eaten at the HOB- jumbalaya rice w/shrimp...out of this world....

Its definitely a personal thing. Although T-Rex was noisy, we were very pleasantly suprised with the food there. Enough to go back next time at the request of all of us. We are doing HOB next trip also and although others in our party are wanting to go, its one I'm not looking forward to.
