Is T-Rex on the dining plan? It says "yes" on Disney website, but for some reason I don't remember it being on the plan in 2010.

How's the food in comparison to other Dis restaurants?

It wasn't in 2010.

T-Rex and Rainforest Cafe were among the slew of additions to the plan for 2012.

T-Rex is not a Disney restaurant. Its food may be comparable to the Rainforest Cafe, which is owned and operated by the same company.

Ate at Rainforest Cafe/Downtown Disney in Feb. 2012 on the Deluxe Dining plan, and ate at T-Rex in March 2012 on the regular dining plan.

Food is what I call "bar food/neighborhood grill food" on a fairly extensive menu...like Old Chicago & Applebees. Lots of fried and grilled foods (including sandwiches like huge burgers, but also steaks & seafood.) We found the food to be good, with huge portions (every entree ordered could easily have been split to satisfy two adults) The desserts were likewise very large. We left enough food to feed another party of 3, for sure. Service was good at Rainforest, and very slow at T-Rex.

I am excited that RFC and TREX have been added to the Dining plan, My mom treats us all to the DxDP, as part of the trip and years ago when we didnt have the dining plan, I remember eating at RFC and loving the atmosphere (as a kid food quality meant nothing, lol) I am excited to take my daughter into that atmosphere and judging by the online menu, Lots to choose from!
