Hi All, We will be at the World early Oct. and still figuring out my schedule. We are staying at the POR and have 3 kids, dd11, ds10, ds4 and wanting to try to eat someplace the boys might enjoy. I'm thinking about an early T-Rex lunch reservation and then later going to the MNSSHP. We have never tried this place before, so thoughts on food etc. would be appreciated. We have no other plans for this day except for the Halloween party. TIA!:goodvibes

We really like T-Rex! It's a fun atmosphere and there is something for everyone on the menu. AND if you've never been to the Halloween Party before, it is awesome!!! :)

T rex is a cool place to see for the boys. The food is good and the portions are large even if you want to share. Make sure you bring your camera. Also not sure if you're on the dining plan but, I am going in late April and could'nt get a dinner reservation. If you have a problem getting the day or if you decide you definetly want to go, call the resturant directly and just make the reservation with your last name. You can still put it through the dining plan if you want. I think this would be a "go for it".

Thank you for your replies! This will also be our first MNSSHP and I can't wait! We did the Christmas party a few years ago and it was fun as well, but wanted to try something different. I'm feeling like a big kid with the planning which has been a blast!:yay:

your kids will enjoy T-Rex. But my suggestion would be a late lunch...like 2:00. Our recent experience at T-Rex was that service is slow (food is slow to get to you) so we were in there nearly 90 minutes (no appetizers, no specialty adult beverages. Just entrees, dessert & regular cokes.) It's a fun atmosphere.

But anyway, if you're going to the party, they will let you in at 4:00 PM withat about the tickets...so if you're eating late lunch at 2:00, you'll get done at about the right time to head to the park (and you'll be getting a nice sit-down break at the restaurant) We found the serving-sizes at T-Rex to be very large, so chances are you'll all be full until mid-party time or later. And even then , could be a large snack during the party might be enough(like an ice cream soda or something) When we had late lunch there, we were still full at 9:00 that night!

Ha Ha, I have to laugh because this is our exact plan except we are staying at POFQ. It is our first mnsshp as well. Enjoy.
