T-Rex .... Great News !

:santa: :santa: :santa:

We were in DTD at the beginning of the week and T-Rex still looks like a major building site! The 'Opening Fall 2008' signs are still there so I would be very surprised to see it opening any time soon.

I was there a few weeks ago, and it may have been my photo referred to.

This was taken January 27th - 2008, 2.5 weeks ago, and they have a long way to go !!!!

Plus it says right on the sign FALL 2008 and that looks about right.

From the way it looks, my guess would be closer to late summer/fall of this year rather then spring. There still appears to be quite a bit of work left to do on the exterior of the building and then they still have to work on the interior.

our first night. I was thinking of Raglan Road, but T-rex would be more to my boys' liking.

Like a complete idiot, I moved away from KCMO without ever having taken my boys there. Funny how living in a major metropolitan area for 20 years twists your brain. I figured that the things there were everywhere.

Now here I am on the Front Range in CO...not only no T-Rex, no Disney store (until April at least), no drive-ins, no major catalog stores or Cargo Largo's, sigh!!!

Worst of all, no decent BBQ.

But, I digress. Thanks for the good news! I'll keep an eye out and hope it's open by the end of May!!!

I doubt that it will be open in May for you when you go, the picture says Fall 2008 and from the status of where the construction is at I'd guess that's about right.

I have to keep my son away from this place when we go in March:rolleyes1 They may need to go back again this fall to experience it.

Spring,no chance, maybe late summer. It looks to me like another couple of months of construction and like another 1.5-2 months to find the staff and get the restaurant operational.
