Was thinking of going to T-Rex for lunch on my birthday in may....We always walk past, and it looks fun! Wanted to try something new...

Any opinions?

I love it there. It is has great themeing.. So much to look at.. The food is good, the atmosphere is better! Have you been to Rainforest? It is very similar only with dinosaurs as the theme...

It's a little loud what with the dinosaurs roaring, the meteor storm and the customers but it's fun. The food is average. However I keep going back because I'm a sucker for dinosaurs. I think you should do it once.

Personally, We've eaten there with friends, twice and though it's part of the Rainforest Cafe chain I think the food is better at T-Rex. It's fun to see the decor and I wouldn't hesitate to eat there with or without my 14 year old son.

The French onion soup was tasty. The chicken pot pie is made from roasted white meat chicken and it's big enough for 2, creamy and full of mushrooms and other vegies. The grilled mahi-mahi was cooked to prefection. The queso dip and chips is really good, the other dip, shrimp something, was edible but not to my taste, I wouldn't re-order it. My son had the ribs and they were tender and the sauce was good. Both times however, we ate too much to allow for dessert, which can be seen sparkling and sputtering as it's delivered to other diners.

I would eat there again, and maybe make it to dessert for once!

It's loud but DH and I like going to T-Rex. We split the appetizer sampler and get the Meteor Bites (donut holes) for dessert and it's plenty for the two of us.

My 21 year old daughter and her friend (also 21) went there & loved it. We're going in June & she said "I don't care where we eat but we have to eat there." (She is a dinosaur nut!)

We were there just after New year. We hated it. We have been before and thought it was ok so gave it another go. I was so disappointed with the service and the food was just average.
If you are going for a special occasion, I wouldn't. But it is only my opinion.

We've had an excellent time both times we've been. Just two adults (me and my BF) and we've had good food and good service. The atmosphere in general is kind of loud (because there's a meteor storm every 15 minutes or so) but we really like it there.

We are 3 adults me 50ish :cutie: DS 25 DDIL 24
We usually sit at the bar. Never had a problem getting seats. We have apps and drinks most of the time but I like the entrees too. It is a little noisy but it fun to watch the kids faces when the dinos come alive! Get a Landrys rewards card or Safari club card for discounts. We will be there in March and I will have a $25 reward because March is my birthday month.:banana:

If you are into LOUD Dinos then go for it. But I wouldn't go just for the food. It is waaay overpriced and average at best. The good news is that the portions are big enough to share. And the atmosphere ( for LOUD dino lovin folks) is great....:thumbsup2 Did I mention it is LOUD. ;)

Do it, it doesn't matter you are adults, go for it if it looks like fun for you, and remember to buy a Make your own Dino:hmghost:

My wife and I have been there. Nice to look at but the food is average to poor.

I've never been to the T Rex at Disney but I loved T REx when we went to the one in KC and I've already told my husband he has to take me there for my birthday in April.

We liked T-Rex and for some reason my wife invited some older friend to join us. They loved it more than us. Food was good, not great but good. I do thing House of Blues was great. I would book your reservation now, even if your not sure. We are going in May and the only times they have left for dinner are at 10:00! Not sure what they have left for lunch, but I wouldn't wait. :)
