Today is my 180 days so I got up early and tried to book T-Rex and there are no available times....REALLY :confused3:confused3

I heard once that its better to call for this one. Do I call the central reservation line or Disney or do I call T-Rex?

Help please, DD really wants to go here on our first day.

Thanks!

I called TRex directly and was able to get a table even though Disney said it wasn't available. If you book for around 4-5, it's even easier to get a table. You can also do walk up there and usually get seated within an hour. Good luck!

I have been there twice and never had reservations, just waited in line 20 mins or so.

They may be doing you a favor, it's not really that good. We gave it two chances and won't be going back.

They reserve 40% of their restaurant for walk ups so it's not usually an issue unless you are going right at the busy dinner hour. The wait is not usuaully more than 20 minutes if it's at the busy time. You are looking at an hour. Best thing on the menu is the Chicken Flatbread. Make sure you get extra sauce!

They give very little of their reservation (priority seating really) allotment to Disney so hard to ever get peak dinner times through Disney, but if you call the restaurant directly (look up their website and call the DTD location directly) you can pretty much get any time you want usually. Even request a room to sit in. No worries. I called a few weeks before the trip last year, in late August, and was able to name my time, but honestly when we were there, it was busy, but wasn't packed. Could have done walk up. I'd rather just have it booked though.

time we went we ate early with their version of a reservation. Our time was about 6:00 or 6:30 PM and the wait was only about 15 minutes. But at the end of the meal the wait was approaching 45 minutes. This was in June, a heavier time, and I believe on a Sunday night.

If you know when you want to go, call the restaurant directly. They release a small amount of tables to Disney, and because of their location most visitors use Disney Dining to book a table.

We were able to get ours directly and there have been a number of posts from people that could not get anything from Disney but were successful via T-Rex.

Like others have said, call T-Rex, & you should be able to get a reservation.

When I first started making our ADRs, I couldn't decide where to eat for our DTD evening.

I knew our older DD & DS would probably really enjoy T-Rex or Rainforest, but I was worried the noise factor would frighten our baby DS.

I hemmed & hawed and thought and pondered...

And finally decided to just make a reservation for T-Rex. (Since we have a Rainforest about 3 hours away from us, I took it out of consideration & just went w/ T-Rex.)

By the time I decided, I couldn't get an ADR through Disney's Reservation Site, but, when I called T-Rex directly, I was able to get a reservation for the exact time I wanted with no problem.

I was even able to request that we be seated in a quieter section of the restaurant.

(And I figure that, once we get there, that if it's just absolutely too frightening for baby DS, we'll just go w/ quick-service.)

I had the same issue, called on 3/29 and couldn't get anything for 9/28. Then I've been checking the online reservations ever since, and nothing. I called today and just got a table for 8 at 5pm after reading this thread. Thanks.
