I'm not sure of that but what we did to get around it was: We charged everything to our room (you were able to charge Rainforest so I'm pretty sure you can do T-Rex) then before they billed our credit card I would pay the room charges with the rewards card.
Hope that helps,
laurie
Yes, I have used my dream rewards card to pay for my bill at T-Rex,
Just make sure you let the waiter know before you order, that way if they need to find out how to do it , or if it's changed they can tell you before ordering
Thanks ya'll. We're staying at the Dolphin, so we won't be able to do the end around on the room charges (but I love the resourcefulness of it ). So why will they take the Disney Reward points but not be on the dinning plan? That's what made me think I couldn't use the card there. What about Bluezoo?
Wow I didn't know you could charge back to your room from T-rex So would I tell them I want to charge back to my room and use my key to the world to do so? How does it work? I have an ADR there our first night

I didn't know either, the waiter asked me if I wanted to put it on my room charge. I charge everything to the room that I can, makes my life that much easier.

P.S. We were also able to charge at the Lego store to our room. This was in 2009 so I'm not sure if it's changed at all since then.
Regarding Disney VISA Points - they say at Guest Services you can get a current list of who accepts points as payment. I use mine at Earl of Sandwich all the time. The website for Disney VISA Rewards has some information that may help. If the list is current, here is what they show for DTD: Downtown Disney® Marketplace
Fulton's Crab House
Portobello
Earl of Sandwich
Bongo's Cuban Cafe
Go to the website and click on Redemption Locations/Disney World then Dining and it will give you all of the options by location or resort at WDW. Hope this helps.
