This is what I was thinking too. You can't prebook two fast passes for the same person for the same attraction on the same day....right?

I don't think they meant they were both ToT. I think they meant that only their later FP+ was cancelled so maybe it means early park closing as opposed to a ride issue.

Just checked ours and our ToT FP's for 9/5 are still there. I would definitely call like another poster mentioned.

We have a ToT FP+ for 9/11 and ours is still there.

We have a 5pm ToT FP+ for Sept 10th. It's still there.

I just went in and tried to modify it to see what times are available for ToT and I have options for FP+ through 8:30pm.

Hopefully it's just a glitch! OP - let us know if you get this resolved!

Looks like the times were just off on the originals as I received the following email last night:

There has been an unexpected change in the operating schedule of an attraction or show during your upcoming Walt Disney World® visit. Your FastPass+ selection for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ from 7:05 PM to 8:00 PM on 09/08/2016 is no longer available.

As a replacement, a new selection was made for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ from 7:05 PM to 8:05 PM on 09/08/2016.

Visit My Itinerary on My Disney Experience for more details or if you would like to change this FastPass+ selection.

Nice that they gave me the 5 extra minutes, but defintiely a confusing email.

Ok now I'm a little confused. I admit I haven't looked at FP selections at all (my trip is wayyyyyy too far off to be even looking at them) but I thought the times were always 1hr time slots like they were in the Legacy FP....am I wrong on that??

They normally are, unless you have one that runs into park closing. We had a FP+ for 7:25-8pm because the park was closing at 8. They just updated hours and the park is staying open until 9 so they adjusted our FP+ time to be 7:25-8:25.

I've seen a few posts on this sort of issue - the park must have originally been closing at 8pm so your fast pass was only for 55 minutes but now it is closing later so you get the full hour.
