Dh and I were going to cancel our contracts with Verizon and just go with a prepaid, but just using the prepaid one day, I know that won't work.

We have been looking around and T-mobile seems to have a pretty good plan and phones.

Any experience with them? TIA!

I have been with them since 2001 and will not change, although my kids wanted me to switch to Verizon because all of their friends use Verizon. When they pay the bill they can use what they want. I think all the plans have good and bad to them. I have been given free upgrade phones after a year, which does not change how I feel about them one way or another but it is a nice benefit. All I had to do is call and ask and they will tell me what we are eligible to receive. HTH

I have used t-mobile forever! I will not change and have recommened them to many friends and family. I feel their service is great and not had a complaint in the 5 + years I have had them. FWIW.

We got our very first cell phones just over a year ago (November 2004) and we got T-Mobile.

We haven't had any problems with it at all.

We have TMobile, for a few years now. All of my family is on the "family plan" so we can talk to each other anytime we want, as long as we want.

We have T-Mobile and aside from the issues with my phone (Motorola V188 - it's crud, I'm on my third one in two weeks, they're sending me a different brand of phone now!) they've been great.

We have the family plan with Tmobile too. We love them. We've only ever had a couple of billing issues and there were quickly and politely taken care of for us. Their customer service is great and I have very few problems with poor signal or dropped calls. All carriers are going to have at least some places you won't get a strong signal. Our plan includes free long distance and NO roaming so it's faboo! We had cingular for 2 years. They day the contract expired we were soooo outta there the door didn't hit us in the butt! We actually wanted to switch less than a year into the 2 year contract. If I had know I'd  Tmobile this much I'd have paid the penalty and switched long before I did. I highly recommend them and so do the other 4 people on our contract. In fact, we just signed up again!

First phone just stopped accepting a charge, it wasn't the battery or the charger. The poor woman at the T-mobile store tried all the different batteries and chargers, it just didn't work. The replacement one they sent me worked for 2 days then stopped ringing, it wouldn't make any noise at all, just this strange buzzing sound. It also wouldn't get the downloads they sent. The third one isn't reading my sim card, when my sim card is in there it shows 3 numbers in the phonebook, when my sim card is in any other phone it shows 31. :confused3 I've spent more time talking to tech support in the last two weeks then I ever wanted to!! :furious: But they're finally handling it. :woohoo:

I think it's pretty subjective based on where you live. I'm in Wisconsin and the service here in our experience is awful. We are oddly enough switching to Verizon. :) I can't use my phone in the mall, in the house, etc. My dad has Verizon and talks to people all over the country and is always complaining that my calls are the only ones that ever get dropped. So in our personal experience Tmobile's not worked out but the plan was a good deal I thought.

We reserched all the plans and went with T Mobile (even though my sister works for Cingulair! LOL) We have had it for years and are very happy. We have the no long distance/no roaming and also free mobile to mobile, which means we can talk to anyone else with T mobile for free anytime. We have free nights and weekends too.

We also had one problem with billing about a year ago and I was very pleased with customer service. I think it was the nicest customer service rep I've ever spoken with. My problem was resolved and nothing else wrong before or since.

Laurie :)

I love my T-mobile plan and my Sideick. Unlimited text and Email, internet access, relay, AIM, YM, and voice phone (600 min) which I rarely use. Could probably pull my minutes back to 100 and have enough for me.

Thanks guys. I think we will go with them. We just had the worst customer service with Verizon, but I was worried about the network with T-Mobile and the coverage area. Thanks again!

Another vote for T-mobile! We've had the family plan for 3 years now and love it. We just got three phones upgraded for free yesterday-gotta love that! :thumbsup2

We like TMobile too. We have had them since last winter and they were one of the first networks up after Katrina.

We are also long time T-mobile users (5+ years) and very happy with them.
