T-minus 24 hours til we are in the World w/17 month old son!

I am new to this trip report stuff, so bear with me!

Just to get you started.....
Who's Going? Me Shanan(28), Jason (33),

our son Aaron Mickey (17 months),

and Mother-in-law "Nana" (age not disclosed).

Nana goes home on Sept. 6th.

Getting to WDW on Sept 1st and staying til Sept 10th and staying at Pop w/ Free Dining.

ADR's:
Ohana, Le Celliar, Coral Reef, Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, Sci-Fi, Biergarten, Boma, and Trails End Buffet.

We are planning on eating CS at Earl of Sandwich, Wolfgang Puck Express, Flame Tree BBQ, Sunshine Seasons, Colombia Harbour House.

We will also be eating at Beaches and Cream and we are going to candy around the world!

For Snacks:
I really want to try one of the ice cream sandwiches from Sleepy Hollow!

Will give details of when later, and made shirts for all 10 days we will be there, pics to follow. Gotta head to bed!

Sorry for the lack of pre-planning pictures and what-not, but we didn't plan on being so BUSY the past two weeks. Traveling with a little guy is even more work and preperation than we anticipated, so we haven't had much time for other things (like showcasing the 30+ shirts Shanan made for the trip, among many other things).
I can't tell you how absolutely excited we are to show our son the place we love, for the first time. I know he wont remember it, but we will forever

Ok so.. we (Jason, Me, Aaron, and Nana) are taking a taxi on Sept 1st somewhere around 5am CST to O'hare and will be flying at 8 am with United.
Here are the shirts we will be wearing Day1

We will arrive close to noon get on magical express (our 1st time relying completly on disney transportation) and head over to Pop Century (also our 1st time staying on disney property as a couple...I stayed on property when I was younger at the age of 13.)
We will probably get something to eat either at the airport or the food court at Pop. We ordered 150 dollars worth of groceries from gardengrocer.com, that should arrive between 2pm and 4pm at pop. So we will enjoy our resort and check out our room, and I will decorate our windows and door.

Ok so we will be heading over to the Poly for Ohana at 5pm.
A little back story......
Jason and I were married in Sept of 2006. Jason had always wanted to go to the World, but back then we knew nothing of disney podcasts, let alone all of the wealth of information on all the disney boards that exsist (especially this one). So when we looked for good deals on Disney we were not that smart....and we thought DISNEY is WAY too expensive!! So for our honeymoon we stayed at the HOJO on West Irlo Branson (sp) and we just got passes for Universal . Looking back on it just seems ridicoulus that we would just do this!!!! Well anyway. We always got to the parks very early early early in the morning and by the 3rd day we pretty much saw all that we wanted to see. We were standing in line for Dueling Dragons and a lady said to us, "Didn't I see you guys yesterday at WDW??" WHAT!!!!!!???!!! We reply, "We wish!!!" Then we thought about it.....we were waiting for the Sinbad show to start....and we were talking it over. We were both thinking, this is our honeymoon this will only happen once!! Why not at least look into going to Disney....we are so close we can taste it, lets go over to Downtown Disney. So that afternoon we drive over to DD and find out information at the Customer service counter by the biddi boppity boutique. The lady was so nice she gave us the honeymoon button. So then we went to McDonalds and crunched numbers . We were looking for a while and thinking about purchasing an AP, I thought this would be the most cost savings route. Spend 900 now for the two of us, and come back at least once more if not twice more in the year, (little did I know at the time that I was almost 3 months pregnant) so we thought about it a little more and then we both said lets do this you are only on your honeymoon once, lets make this one to remember ! So we went back and purchased 2 AP's, we went back to our hotel room, for reasons I have no clue why!!?!? But we went to MGM at the time that night. On this trip we only ate counter service!!!! We had no idea about all the wonderful table services that exsisted at Disney, but this was all about to change, because when we came home from that trip a week later we found out I was pregnant. We found out about the Disney Dining Experience card and the next trip we scheduled was all about eating, since I wouldn't be able to go on most of the rides. We went beginning of January so we could exp some of the xmas magic, we saw some decorations and the osbourne lights. I remember standing with Jason at the dock at the Poly watching Wishes with no one around, and talking about our son Aaron(who was in my stomach) and dreaming of one day taking him to the World when he is about 6 or 7 He is only 17 months and we are taking him already!! See note below for reasons why we couldn't wait!! Some of the ADR's I can remember without thinking too hard, was 50's Prime Time, Whispering Canyon, California Grill, BOMA! Ok so anyways back to my main point....... that trip Jan 07 we had an ADR for O'hana for somewhere around 9pm. We waited and waited and waited and waited for them to sit us and they never did because we waited and waited and waited and didn't get a sorry we will be right with you or anything. So we looked at each other and we both thought, wow its loud up here, and it will be a lot of money, lets just go to Checkers by Old Towne . Ok sounds good. Just to round out this trip report past, we ended up rounding out our AP with a 3rd trip in Sept of 07

So we have yet to try O'hana...will we make our ADR this time? Only time will tell!

Reasons why we couldn't wait til Aaron Mickey is 6 or 7 and taking him while he is 17 months (mostly revolves around me being a cheapskate)
1. Free Dining (everyone eats for free minus tips)
2. 2 and under fly free (lap baby)
3. Aaron gets into disney for free

We don't plan on going back to WDW until my sister graduates from college, in fall of 2011, Aaron will be 4 and 1/2 then.

Next year we have our Couples only DISunplugged 1st ever Podcast Cruise, Aaron is staying home with Nana, and we will probably visit Jason's dad in AZ in the fall. 2010 is open as far as vacas go, then 2011 finally back to the World.

Ok and I promise the next post will strictly be pretrip report of this next trip, sorry just needed to do some back story, I hope that was ok

Ok so we are at O'hana eating a lovely meal, unfortanetly we could not get our ADR changed to seat 4. Nana decided to come a few days after we had booked all our ADR's, so she will most likely be eating at Planet Hollywood with her meal voucher and be exploring Downtown Disney. Nana hasn't been to the World since 1977?!??!?! Pre Epcot, Pre DHS, Pre AK!! If she only knows what she has in store! So her not getting in to eat with us might actually end up being a good thing, because Jason's brother Joe, one of Nana's other sons is in Tampa doing some training stuff for the military, and since it is Labor day he has the day off so he will be meeting us over in Orlando and hanging out with us for the evening. He will most likely then eat dinner with Nana and then we are all heading over to DHS to ride Toy Story Midway Mania!!! And of course ToT, but not with Aaron , and then enjoy Fantasmic. DHS has EMH til 1am tonight, we will see how long we can last.

Wake up Early!!! To catch Epcots EMH at 8am! Here are the shirts we will be wearing today.

We will be eating at Beaches N Cream.
Go back to hotel and rest and play in pool.
We have an ADR for Coral Reef at 7:50 pm, then hopefully catch Illuminations.

Ok so got all of my crafty sort of things ready for our room and stroller, the window cling picture will come after our trip, since all the window clings are still on the weird backing.
So here is our magnet for our door printed out.

Here are things I laminated, License plate is going to be a stroller tag, then we have our dining card which we will bring a hole punch to keep track of our table service, counter service and snacks, then we have our home depot mickey head DO You Dis? With our screennames on the other side that we will pin to our croc bag.

Last but not least a lovely sign for our door for all of the fellow DISers to come and sign!! ( I hope at least one person will come and leave us a note

Get Ready for MNSSHP, we never have been but heard nothing but good things about it and we are ready!!! Hope it doesnt rain!
I kinda wanted Aaron to wear the cute finding nemo costume I got him from the Disney Store, but Jason says it will be too hot! I agree, but there will be so many other kids dressed up, I just hope he doesnt feel left out. Here is how cute he is in his Nemo costume:

Nothing planned at all for today!! Well we usually go to Downtown Disney and do all of our Souviner shopping before we leave and get a sundae at Gherdelli(sp). Maybe we will do this, but it would be such a shame since we would be wasting a Day of our 10 day park ticket. We have to be back at our resort by 2pm to catch Magical Express MCO for our Flight back to Ohare at 5pm. Will be back to post a complete Trip Report and get ready for lots and lots and lots and lots and can I say lots of FOOD PORN PICTURES!!!!!!

Just got done making some stickers!

Everything is packed and weighed, Jason and I's suitcase was 51 lbs so moved the bathroom essentials over to Aaron's suitcase, and now we are at 47 lbs. Aaron's suitcase is hovering right around 30lbs.

Oops I almost forgot, I still have to pack my tennis shoes!!

Gotta check the weather too, make sure it wont get too cold at night, haven't packed anything heavier than tshirts and shorts.
