Has anyone ever used one of these? My physio put me on one last tuesday for my back and it was great. I was actually free from pain for a few hours, so i have persuaded DH to buy me one. i have just used it and so far the pain has eased.:thumbsup2

I used one when I was in labour - it helped for a while :thumbsup2

My mother in law also used one for backache and thought it was great :thumbsup2

I have tried one in the past but it didn't work for me, must say accupuncture also never worked for me!

Claire ;)

I had accupuncture years ago and loved it, it was so relaxing don't think it helped with the pain though !!

Had tried twice with the Tens but it never worked for me, but then everyone is different .
If it works for you keep using it because when it comes to fighting back pain anything is worth a go to relieve or stop it :)

My dad uses one for problems with a sore back and knee. It seems to be working for him.

I have advised patients to use it in between treatments from myself. Its quite easy as it means they can self treat themselves at home & they are reasonably cheap to buy. Although personally I prefer to receive more hands on treatment myself.

I use mine when i need to,and it is GREAT :thumbsup2 .My back problems stemmed from having an epidural with my first daughter, unfortunatley a side effect from an epidural. It is something i will always have-but that little machine does wonders for me,when before having it-i could'nt even get out of bed!!.
Glad your's is working well for you :thumbsup2 .x.

I used mine in labour too I remember yelling "get that (insert f word) thing off me!" to DH!! :lmao: Poor DH!

Sounds similar to me Gem! lol

I had my daughter at home so I rented one of these. I put it on, did nothing, so turned it up a bit, and the shock it gave me sent me into a rant of expletives!

But it does work for some people though, just not me lol

Well I think it actually worked for a time, but when I was getting more aggitated by everything (until the epidural:teeth:) it was just another thing to wind me up!

My MIL uses one for back pain though and swears by it.

I've got one for my toe but because of the type of tumour it irratates it.

Me too, it just irritated me!

and me, also tried it whilst in labour and gave up after about 6 hours, was having enough fun with contractions, didn't need electric shocks too

I bought one today and have just used it for the first time, I will let you know how I get on

Well I used it twice last night and once today, once more before bed, I am amazed I have been in agony on and off for the last seventeen years, the specialists have been not wanting to operate on the nerve as they suspect I may loose the use of some fingers. My pain is by no means gone but it is 80% better, I feel like a new woman ...
