Looking for some answers in regard to booking our Jetblue flight to Orlando from Syracuse. I appreciate any insight that is offered.

Our plan for Dec. is to leave Kingston Sunday aft. and stay 1 night near Syr airport.
The non stop flight leaves Monday at about 4 p.m. which is a waste of a day IMO so we will catch either the Monday 6 a.m. flight or the 7ish a.m. flight to JFK and then transfer to MCO.

Here's the question, Is 45 min. between connectors at JFK enough time for the three of us (myself, DW & DD(4.5) )to deplane and reboard or should I plan on the longer layover of about 1 1/2 hrs? Both layovers result in arriving at MCO at the same time from what I've gathered so this more about not arriving at Syr Airport at 4 in the morning.

Once again thanks for the input.:dance3:

Both of our layovers were 45 minutes long, and it was plenty of time, including a bathroom break.

When we flew out of Syracuse this December there was an early direct flight.
It left a 9:10 am and arrived at 12:02pm.

We did this same flight the year before as well but in Feb.

I didn't realize that they had dropped this one (or looked to see if the Dec flights were available yet). I knew in the fall they usually only run the afternoon one, but for the winter season they have the morning direct one.

What ever you do stay away from the Best Western at the airport. It is very old and the rooms are not in any way sound proof. We stayed there two years ago and heard everyone come and go, their alarms, phone calls etc. We even got to hear about one older woman's "problems" through the hollow connecting door.  This year we did the Holiday Inn just minutes from the airport and it was great.

Hi there! I'm a Kingston Diser as well. ;)

I would plan on the longer connection just to be safe. You never know what is going to be going on with the weather that day that could cause flight delays. Then again I am always worrying about things like that, my motto is better safe than sorry.

Would you consider flying out of Burlington, Vermont, they have a Jet Blue direct flight at 8:00 a.m. in the morning.

Yes I looked at Burlington, Rochester, Buffalo, and Albany. The extra driving to me didn't seem worth it to save a 45 min. layover.
Those are all at least an hour more on the road and all the flights arrive at MCO at about the same time.
Thanks for all of your help!:thumbsup2
