I was just on the US Airways website, and plugged in SYR/MCO, 2/12/05 to 2/19/05 (I'm guessing this will be winter break week), and it looks as though US Airways will have a direct flight to Orlando and one back to Syracuse! And the price is only $216 right now!

Just wanted to give you a heads up. :Pinkbounc

I will be checking it out. I am in "central" ny too, near cooperstown, oneonta. I am a teacher and I know our winter break will be 2/19-2/26 (saturday-saturday)

thanks!!

okay, checked for 2/19-2/26, got a total of $1370.10 for the three of us. That's $456.70/person round trip! OUCH!! (non stops)

For the dates you put in (12-19) I got a total of $1130.10 or $376.70/person round trip (non stop)

If I put in for just one ticket I get the rate of $216 that you got (for either dates)! So why is it coming up so much more if I put in for 3 tickets?

GGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRR

slight mistake...for 2/19-2/26 I get $296.70 for one ticket

Considering where you live, have you thought about Southwest out of Albany?

I did put in alb to mco and the price was considerably higher!

d4est, I was gone for the weekend, so I'm just reading your reply. I live in an eastern suburb of Syracuse.

Thanks for the winter break dates. I'm surprised how late it is this year. Anyway, I plugged those dates into sidestep.com, and the cheapest flight is now get is $233 on United. That USAirways direct flight now comes up over $400.

I should have known, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. ;)

It may be worth the drive to Albany to fly Southwest. You will have to wait a while for fare sthough....

SW also flies out of Buffalo and as direct flights.

Barb--np with the dates--BUT, there is always a chance that your district will be different. I just know those dates for our BOCES system.

I am in no hurry to book, unless I find something great (ie. below 200/person). I keep waiting for southwest, or even southeast (not much further for us to drive to Newburg--their prices are generally around 69/one way & nonstop).

We'll see...keep playing the waiting game! Good luck!
