I really enjoyed the Hyde Park Barracks, as well as the Museum of Sydney. But then I really like history.

We plan on going to both of those.

Apparently the Wonder will be docking at the White Bay Terminal. Is there a light rail line that we can catch to get near the Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbor Hotel or should we just plan to grab a taxi?

The Light Rail line is around a 20 minute walk from the Cruise Terminal so I wouldn't recommend it, especially not with children or luggage.

Personally, I would get a Taxi since it's a 8-10 minute drive from the terminal. Try to disembark as close to 9am as possible, as there is always heavy traffic until around 9:15am in that area. You will be directed by staff to where taxis will be waiting for pick up, you won't have to call them.

You can leave from 6:45am but usually in Sydney, 9am is when the last guests disembark.

Departure is now scheduled for 4pm so all aboard should be 3pm and boarding should begin between 11am and Midday

That late in October, you'll have average temperatures of 22-23C with the evenings and nights dropping to 15-16C. If you're around the Harbour, it will be a little cooler as there is always a light breeze.
