Hello!

We are going to WDW in less than 2 weeks and I was just reading on allearsnet.com all the "kid tips" on various rides. One thing I had forgotten about was the "Sword in the Stone" ceremony. My DS (6) would absolutely LOVE to do that. Does anyone have any "theories" about how Merlin picks the kid to do it? Just wondering how we could increase our chances -- standing in a certain area, etc.

Thanks for any info.!

My little sister was picked on a trip to DL about 15 years ago. I dont think there was any rhyme or reason to why she was picked. One thing I have noticed though about it was that it seemed that the first person picked did not get to take the sword out of the stone. I think that my sis was the 3rd one chosen. Good luck to your family.

My son was also chosen--must have been 11 or 12 years ago now. He was the third or fourth kid chosen, and was the one who pulled the sword out. I'm not sure how he was picked.

I think they look for excited but not hyper kids in the 6-10 range who won't be shy.
