Switching to DVC from regular reservation

Hello,

I have a 6-night stay booked at POFQ July 2018. I'm considering switching from this reservation to renting DVC points for a studio villa during the same time.
We've already booked dining reservations on MDE and I'm wondering how changing to DVC rental will affect our current dining reservations. Will we have to start over with making dining reservations or will I be able to switch it in some way?

The dining reservations will not be affected, they are not connected to your room. Have a great trip!

Never done it but your dining reservations are in you MDE account so if you rent, add the new reservation to MDE, then cancel the cash reservation, I would think that nothing will change.

We did that last year. All worked out fine for us. Rent, then link, then cancel the original reservation.

Everyone even if not staying onsite can book dining reservations at 6 months. Nothing will happen to them. They are linked to you, not tied to a room reservation.
