Switching Resorts

One of us has to be at Dolphin for a few days for work, so we were planning on going a few days earlier so we can go to the parks and make a little vacation out of it. We'll be flying in and won't be renting a car. Since Swan and Dolphin doesn't offer the Magical Express (at least that's what I'm aware of) we'd probably take a cab or book a shuttle through Mears. We were thinking of getting a room at Boardwalk the first night so we could avoid paying for the shuttle one way and then move over to Dolphin. There is only one day open at Boardwalk that week, and it happens to be our arriving date. Our 7 month mark opens in a few days. What would you do?

BTW- the difference between one way and round trip for the shuttle is about $50.

Its easy to select Boardwalk, so why haven't you? Other options include picking any other DVC resort that you haven't stayed at or one that you enjoy. You could also save the points and book cash at a value or moderate, of course transfer to the Swolphin will take a cab or uber ride.

We haven't stayed at Boardwalk before mainly because we just became members this year. The only resorts open for that day are OKW, BWV, SSR, and AKL- OKW and BWV both are the cheapest point-wise so I figured we should stay at BWV of the two since its close to Dolphin and so we can try something new.
