Switching resorts mid-week

We will be staying at POFQ for three days and moving to AKL for the rest of our stay. I have heard that resort staff will actually move your bags from one resort to another and have them waiting in your room upon arrival at the new resort. Is this true? Has anyone used this service? I'm hoping it will make life easier on that day....

I have switched hotels several times, and have always had bell services move my bags for me. I usually call bell services the night before I'm switching resorts, and arrange a pickup time for the morning. The bellman at the first hotel should be able to give you an approximate time as to when the bags will be moved. Then, just go to the parks and have fun. Head to your new resort in the afternoon (I usually wait until check-in time--3:00 p.m. at most resorts), and you can have your bags delivered to your room.

It's very easy.

Glad to hear it works well - is there an expectation to tip? I would assume there is...

Have done it several times. Well worth the $2 per bag tip (My own fee schedule). Just expect to see your bags in your new room in the late afternoon.

Yes, there is tipping involved. I always tip the bellman who picks up the luggage at the first resort, and the bellman who delivers the luggage at the second resort. I tip them each a dollar per bag, sometimes a little more if I only have one or two bags.
