We are going to WDW April 30 - May 4. We are meeting a friend and her DD and staying at the S/D. I found out that my flight out home would be better and cheaper on Monday rather than Sunday. So DD and I were thinking of adding another day to our stay. Should I just stay at S/D or switch for a night. I was thinking of trying the AKL for a night since we would not be going to any parks. Sunday and Monday Morning would just be for bumin around and exploring the resort. We would be pretty much packed to go home anyway. Is it worth it or should we stay put?:( :( Our friend lives in Florida and would be heading home on Sunday morning. So it would just be DD and I for the remainder of the trip.;) Any advice from people who switch resorts would be wonderful...... Love these boards:D :D :D :D

We just switched in November, 2 nites at BC and 4 at Poly. The switch was easy, but for our family of five it was too much packing and unpacking for me. Never really felt settled until we got to the Poly.

But with your circumstances, I think it would be a wonderful idea! What a great opportunity to enjoy a new resort. The savannah view is great.

We are trying all the deluxes before we repeat a stay, but so far AKL is our favorite!

We just did it this month, one night at All Star Music, one night at Port Orleans Riverside in the Mansion section, three nights at Dolphin, 4 nights on Wonder, and two more nights at Port Orleans Riverside, this time in Alligator Bayou. Yes, it was a lot of packing and moving, but it was worth it. We got to try out a bunch of different hotels at a bunch of different price levels, and it felt like a whole new vacation each time. I'd say go for it. If you don't like switching, don't do it next time!

You'll be pretty much packed & ready to go. Yes, do it. AKL is awesome.

 COOL!! I was thinking that I would have our big bag packed and just have the carry on to deal with that last day. Since it is just DD and I by ourselves. That would not be too bad.We would only need our swimsuites something to sleep in and where home the next day. ;) I think that I may just look into it if I can get a discounted rate for WL or AKL. They should be coming out with some soon.;) We are going after spring break and before school lets out.

Thanks for the insperation!!!! That was a lot of packing and unpacking!! :D :D :D
