hi:D i just got back from a wonderful 13 night stay at wdw. this was my very 1st solo trip and 1st time switching resorts. i stayed 6 nights at akl then 7 nights at csr. i loved both resorts, and it really did seem like i had 2 vacations:D i did not have a car so thought i would just take a cab from akl to csr but the cm at akl suggested i have bell services move my luggage and i could take a bus to ak then from there to csr. worked perfectly:D i packed a small bag with my valuables, money , travellor's cheques, etc and carried them with me on the bus. i got off the bus at ak and immediately on one to csr (the driver teased me asking if there was something i didn't like about the 1st bus because i got right off and on again LOL:p ) i had a nice breakfast at akl 1st so did not arrive at csr until about 11:00 and could have had a room right away, but because i was requesting a certain building was told i would have to wait, it was not ready yet. i went and got a margarita to help pass the time;) and sat by the lake for a short time, and my room was ready about an hour later. i had thought i might have had to wait longer so had packed my swimsuit with me and asked about locking my valuables in the resort safe, which they had done with no problem. when i got to my room i called bell services and they had my luggage and brought it right away, and i had the rest of the day to do as i liked. it was very easy and painless. i would not hesitate to do this again, but realize it was easier doing this solo. any questions ? i'd be happy to answer:D

Thanks for the info. We are staying at AKL for 4 nights and then moving to CSR also in August. What section/room did you stay in at each resort. We have already been to both so I am pretty familiar with each layout. Thanks.

hi DisneyVa.
i had a standard view booked at AKL and was upgraded to a pool view. i ended up in the middle section of the resort on the 4rth floor looking directly out on the entire pool area, it was very nice.
at csr i had requested casitas 1, 2 or 3 since i was solo, and didn't want to walk a long way by myself at night. even though i called the night before i switched from akl to again give my request, when i arrived they did not have a casitas 1, 2 or 3 available, they said casitas 3 was being renovated and 1 and 2 were full. they ended up offering me cabanas 9B which was great though, very close to El Centro and bus stop #1. i ended up having a corner room, which gave me 2 windows which was nice, one looked out over the pond that goes in behind this building and one overlooked the lake, and a beautiful view of the casistas all lit up at night. there are no parking lot views from this building, but i only paid for the standard view i had booked. this was my 2nd trip to csr and i still love it.
hope you have a fun trip:D
