Switching one day DL ticket to DCA

Last week, one of our party didn't make it to our DL day trip. We had already bought a ticket at the ticket booths for a one-day one-park ticket and it didn't get used. It says on the ticket "Disneyland Park" only. Well, we'll be going again to DCA this month. I wonder if we could switch the DL Park only ticket to DCA?

I called the help number and the CM on the line says their tickets don't usually specify one park and that I'd have to go to the ticket booth to switch it out. Has anyone come across something like this? Is this doable? We still have the receipt used to buy the ticket.

I've also not heard of a ticket that was only good at Disneyland (that is being sold currently at the ticket booth). Are you sure the fine print is referring to regular entrance to the parks? Could it be taking about some other limitation?

At this point, I would also go to the ticket booth to see if they can help you out. Given that you bought the ticket there, they should have the most complete information on what can (or cannot) be done.

The 1-day, 1-park tickets have always been good only at the park name printed on the pass. If you don't specify when buying the ticket, they'll assume you want Disneyland and issue the ticket for Disneyland only.

You won't have any issue changing it out, but will just have to wait in the ticket booth line again.

It definitely states "Disneyland Park Only" on it, and has a bigger "DISNEYLAND" print on it as well. Actually all 4 tickets bought that day say that.

Well, that makes me feel better, thank you! I just didn't want a ticket to go unused. Who am I kidding? No DL ticket would ever go unused in my family!

Interesting...good to know for the future.
