I'm probably crazy for even considering this, but what do you all think? We're going to WDW in May and staying at the GF. Our company is paying for it which is AWESOME as we could never afford to sty there ourselves.

Here's my question...we're adding another day or two, and I'm just having a hard time justifying paying $400 a night for a hotel room that we're not going to really spend much time at. So, I was thinking of moving us to a moderate resort after the company part is over.

But, the other part of me is thinking I'm not paying for much of this trip anyway, so I should just pay the $400 -800 and not worry about it. Plus, we've got a toddler and twin infants and moving everyone would be a bit of a hassle.

What do you all think? Maybe you can helping me feel better about stepping out of my frugal box.

Thanks!

With a toddler & twin infants, I'd stay put. I personally enjoy resort hopping on our trips, but I have a 16 year old. :p
You can easily justify it that the company is footing much of the bill, so one or two nights cost could be divided by the total amount of days and it'll look much easier to swallow. (Can you tell I'm a master of justification? ;) )

Seriously, tho - the convienence of being on the monorail & not having to pack up & transfer all the stuff you need for traveling with small ones is totally worth the money.

With the age of your children, I would stay put. We always resort hop but in your case I wouldn't even consider it. It may take the infants a few nights to get comfortable with their new surroundings. I wouldn't want to go through that twice. You can be frugal when the kids are older.

It really will depend on your financial situation and weighing that against having to move your stuff and your family. We split our stay and had no problem with the moving part it was very simple to just pack up our bags and throw them in the rental car and onto the next resort. That being said.. we didn't not have kids to worry about.

Also, although we did not utilize the service, you can have your bags transferred from one resort to another so you don't have to physically move them.. just pack up your stuff.

I enjoyed the two resort experience myself. It felt like we had two separate vacations. However, you will have to base your decision on your personal circumstances.

Good luck!

We had switched resorts before which I did enjoy (it's my goal to stay in all the resorts at least once), but that was before we had kids.

Pirate, you raise a VERY good point that I had not thought of. It probably will take them a couple of nights to get used to sleeping in a different place. That settles it...we're staying put!

Thanks everyone!
