Switching FTP Resort?

Can it be done? We aren't going until mid-November.

I was told that changes could be made to the FTP without the change fee if the changes are an increase in price (like adding the Silver Plan).

we have a FTP booked for Sept and I called tonight to check on switching resorts and they said that I could switch, but if i did it after Aug 6th (that is when my final paymet is due) that I would have to pay a $50 penalty.

You can change resorts without a fee if it is an upgrade. I've made 3 changes to my FTP . I went from a standard view at POR to a waterview at POR to the AKL with no penalties. The change to ALK was 10 days before check in.

Just wanted to add that we've changed our dates for the FTP without a problem. This was after the June deadline but before our final payment was due.

I did the same thing. I had 2 standard view rooms at POR and I called last week and changed it to AKL savannah view. I called several times to check different resorts and one lady said she didn't know if it were possible with the FTP and that she would call Guest Services and ask. She came back on and said that GS said I couldn't do it. So I called GS the next morning and they said I could so I changed them. I don't know if I paid a change fee or not. We're leaving Monday. I did ask about doing a split stay but they said I couldn't do that with the FTP.
