We booked ASMu the Morning FD dropped, but now I wanna add an extra day. ASMu is not available, but ASSp is. Is there a huge difference between the two? I've never stayed at either of them (usually stay at Pop) so I'm not sue what to expect.

Not many differences other than theming. I love all of the All Stars and Sports is probably my favorite one. It's smaller than Music which is good so you dont have longer walks to/from the lobby. *IF* you share buses (which is rare), Sports is the first pick up/drop so that's a plus.

I too really like All Star Sports. That is our go to if we stay at a value resort. It's the smallest of the values and really easy to get around. The bus situation is great too! You will enjoy it there!

We really like ASMu, better than POP. Haven't done ASSp, but I would if it was where I could get a deal. All Stars are all pretty much the same, just swap out icons.

We have stayed at All Star Music twice and it is my favorite of them after walking around all three of them and Pop Century. We are not Sports fans at all so that one really did not interest me. This last December though we ended up having to book the All Star Sports. My least favorite section is Tennis and that is where we were put. But you know what... it was an enjoyable stay. We enjoyed the location and it is still fun and colorful walking to and from the main building.

My choice of values -

1. POP
2. Sports
3. AoA (LM)
4. Movie
5. Music

And I would stay offsite before going back to ASMusic so ... yes .. I would change in a heartbeat!

Sports my pick of areas are -

1. Surfs Up
2. Hoops
3. Baseball
4. Tennis
5. Football

My favorite value is POP by far. I’ve stayed at ASMu and really didn’t care for it. The theming didn’t seem very Disney and the food court options were lacking. I luckily was able to snag free dining at POP but I would’ve gone for ASSp if it wasn’t available. And then ASMu as a last resort lol. To each their own.

I stayed at ASMu in December. It was my first stay at a value resort, and I loved everything about the resort. Clean, bright, comfortable, transportation, extremely friendly and helpful CMs.

We just returned from Sports after two prior stays at Pop. Stayed at ASMu years ago and Sports seemed better laid out, we were in a Preferred room at Music and it looked like the standard room buildings were a hike. Decided a change was good, we had an excellent experience at Sports! Sports seemed smaller and the walks much less to get from the room to the food court/ buses (we did not have a preferred room at Sports or either stay at Pop). The bus service at Sports was phenomenal, we never waited more than five minutes for a bus anywhere!! I found Pop to have a more hectic feel than Sports, and in both cases large groups of teens were there.

Much prefer the lobby and food court at Pop, guess Disney learned as they went along!

Hopper, good to see you on this thread. I just changed my POP reservation to Sports for FD -- $250 more than my current package for 13 nights, how could I not. This will be our first time an All Star Resort and a bit bummed we won't be getting a renovated room at POP, BUT we will most likely be back in 2019, so we will be back to POP then. Now, I am off to obsess and research Sports. My son wants baseball, we are a huge baseball family so I think we might try for that.

I have stayed baseball a few times and we were quite happy with our location. It was an easy walk to the food court and buses. NEVER had an issue with buses at Sports other than the lady who got on a park bus but wanted to go to Movies ......... and while I would have opened the door and pointed, the driver took her there. Food court since it rehabbed is fresh, nice, decent menu and the staff has always been positive even late at night when the guests are not so nice. Never had a housekeeping issue there either. While I went kicking and screaming (my kids had stayed a few times with their teams when in school), I ended up liking it and pleasantly surprised. My last trip I booked Standard but asked for Close to Transportation. We were quite happy to be put in Surf's Up just steps from the pool.
