We had a great 4th of July trip at the Poly all planned out, but in the interest of seeing how everything rolls out we pushed off our trip to Thanksgiving week - arriving the sunday before turkey day and leaving the sunday after. Not ideal but it allows our kids to miss only a few days of school.
We are excited to see Christmas decorations, have better weather than July and we will be in a 2BR at OKW! So we are trying to look at the positives. I think the only negative we are seeing are the predicted crowds. 10's on touring plans, but I think the new "normal" of social distancing might work in our favor with the crowds being lighter.
Any Thanksgiving tips you have?
We have gone at NYE (actually my first WDW trip ever) so we have experienced crazy crowds. We will be back in April 2021 so we don't have to do everything. We might plan a nice thanksgiving meal at Cali grill (yup that was booked for July) and we certainly want to try out Olivias - we always see great reviews from there.
