Had my heart set on RPR, but when I tried to add on a night there was no availability, so now we are staying 2 nights at PBH. PBH looks nice, but I'm a little disappointed as I really wanted to try out RPR...so, please reassure me I'll love PBH :goodvibes

We have stayed at both and PBH is our favorite. The rooms are bigger and my son loves the slide.

PBH is a gorgeous resort and as previously stated the rooms are larger than RPH ones.

I have stayed at both places....you will love PBH...my boys love it too!

Thanks for the replies! I have teens so bigger room is a plus. One thing I am concerned about is the PBH's distance to the parks. How long will it take to get to IoA?

If you take the boat it is only 10-15 minutes. If you walk using the shortcut it is about 15-20 minutes. The map for the shortcut can be found in the PBH thread.

Shortcut is more like 10-15 min. actually ;)

Have stayed at both...like 'em both, but prefer PBH!

(pool is better too!:thumbsup2)

Is it really only 10-15 minutes from PBH to IOA via the shortcut? I must not be walking quickly enough!

May be because I'm tall (5'9") and my DH & DS are tall too...so longer legs, bigger strides? :confused3

We don't stroll, but didn't powerwalk either.

On the HP mornings, I was doing a fast walk...that was just under/around 10 min.

We can walk as fast as the boat can load, get to CW and dock. One reason we walk if it isn't there...we can walk it just as fast as the boat.

I guess shorter folk would take a bit longer....

I'll have to time the whole thing when we go at the end of August. We're doing one night at PBH and then 2 at RPH to get both of our $100 credits. I love cheap APH rates.

I wish Lowes would go back to nights and not stays. Our last stay they had to split the reservation becuase of the AP discount being higher on our last night so it counted as 2 stays. I thought this was silly since that way I could just take a 6 night vacation and make 6 different reservations for the AP rate and get 6 stays :) Of course that would be a logistical nightmare for the front desk when you have to go down each day to get a new key card :) I don't think I could be that mean to them, but maybe housekeeping wouldn't forget to clean our rooms that way too :)

Stays of over 5 consecutive days now count as two stays. I think they should change it to two nights are one stay. Four are two, six are three, etc.

You can't check into the same hotel every day and have it count as a new stay every day but you can flip between RPR and PBH and have it count. It's an annoying but great way to rack up stays.

I'm about 5'4" so I'll be sure to time the walk and report back for the shorter folk ;)

Thank you to all the posters that made us feel better about our switch to PBH. We loved it!! Our bay view balcony room on the 5th floor of the West wing was absolutely amazing. I miss it already, and really look forward to returning soon. :lovestruc

I left the West Wing, Portofino, on Monday arriving at Weschester County Airport at 11PM. Maybe we were on the same flight?

Spent 6 nights there, it is so beautiful!
