Switch from BLT to AKV

So we have a family friend who asked if she could come to Disney with us Dec 11-18. We are very excited that she asked because my DD (6) loves her. The problem is we had reserved a studio at BLT and that is not going to work for 3 adults me, DH, DF, and DD. The other issue is we only have 160 pts so that would limit us on the amount of nights in a one or two bedroom. So my DH called MS yesterday and we got a one bedroom savannah view Kidani at AKV for 5 nights with our points and our DF will pay the cash discount price for the other two nights. So it worked out. So we just need to get as excited as we were about BLT which is our home resort. This is our first DVC trip, members since June 2009.

hey stayed at AKV a bunch of times - despite owning BLT (and loving it) - the point costs are lower - that said only stay standard view or value - not savannah.

You should totally be excited! I just called for the same range of dates (just about) for a 2BR at AKV and pretty much there's nothing available (a few nights here and there, which I took and then add WL). I wish I got 5 nights in a row w/Savannah view! Have fun!

We LOVE Kidani! Just got back from our first stay there last week (Thursday) and I have to say that it was amazing! We had a savannah room in the Zazu section of the resort. Our room was beautiful, watching the animals everday was fantastic. We had such a relaxing stay there. You will really love it. Also, if you go onto Youtube and type in Kidani Village, you can see loads of video's that people have uploaded from the resort. We did this before our vacation and it really got us excited for our stay!

Infact, we loved staying there so much, we changed a few of our upcoming reservations to stay there again. We're going the last week of August/first week of September and I can't wait!!!
