i'm more upset that schools can possibly talk children into getting the vaccine, when parents aren't around to say no. my child would not be vaccinated by a school nurse, they would be vaccinated at my physicians office.I am probably more scared of the swine flu vaccine than the actual swine flu. First off, I do not like that our school nurses give out the shots. Are school nurses qualified and trained to give us these shots? When we donated blood last year, a lot of kids had purple arms because the people doing it stuck the needle in wrong. And some kid got paralyzed from the swine flu vaccine, although I think it was because he was allergic to eggs. I'm fine with shots, I actually just got my regular flu shot yesterday, but I don't like that it's a new vaccine and it's being done in schools. I think there should be the option of getting it done at your doctor's office.
But, I don't think I'm worried about the swine flu. It's basically the same thing as the regular flu. A girl in my psychology class had swine flu, but she came back to school a week later and said it was just like having the regular flu.

i went to school where school nurses couldn't give me tylenol, but they can give shots now? umm. no, not too comfortable with that.
