hi i am not new here but havent been on for some time now anyhow today i found out that my home town swindon is twinned with walt disney world yay my favourite place in the whole world it made me smile *** i love all things disney .

The "Twin Your Town" competition was a Walt Disney World promotion for UK residents. The prize was a trip for four to Walt Disney World and a Disney-themed party for the town.

well its all over the newspapers in my town and the national paper disney world is officially twinned with swindon england and disney are putting in a representation of swindon in the england pavilion in epcot for 1 yr and a plaque to tell everyone about their 1st twin town in britain we are so proud here in my home town about being chosen it means a lot to the people of swindon anyway i supose it isnt that interesting to anyone else though sorry

I'd never heard of this, but I took a look at the web page. I didn't look at all the entries, but the Swindon entry was by far better than any that I did view. Some of them were pretty bad. The Swindon entry wasn't amazing, but it at least hit the main points of the competition.
