Swimming with the Dolphins

Hi Everyone! Have any of you done this as an excursion while on the DCL? We are going on a 4 night in June with a BUNCH of people. How is this experience? How long do you actually get to spend with the dolphins? Any suggestions of whether or not it is best to swim with them on the cruise or at Sea World?!?! Please advise! We did the dolphin encounter on Nassau a few months ago and it was great. My mom has done several of these dolphin swims on other islands/ different cruise line and she said this was by far the best interaction with the dolphins. I think wwe spent about 15 minutes with them plus we got to watch the other groups.

One piece of advice-----bring a waterproof camera. We were told that their photographers would take all the pcitures and they never did! They only took one picture and that's all I have of the experience. I was very diappointed. So please bring a waterproof camera. And if they happen to take lots of pictures, great. If not- you have your own.

Never been to the one in Sea World so I can't compare.

We did the Dolphin Encounter in Nassau at the beginning of March, and had a great time. I'm not sure how much time we had, but we sure didn't feel like we missed out on anything. Agree with the above poster about bringing a waterproof camera - the only photo the staff took was a family shot - great picture, but wished they had done more. We took a waterproof disposable camera and got some good shots too. If any members of your group go as "observers" they can watch your session and take photos from behind.

One other hint - book this before you sail - it almost always sells out.
