I heard there is a place where you can get into a pool and touch and swim with dolphins. I thought it was at Epcots living seas. A girl my dad works with just got back from disney and it looks like it is at a place called discovery cove. Is this at disney? Can anyone tell me more about it? I was unable to find the lady my dad works with and I dont know when I will see her again to ask her. My daughter loves dolphins and would love to swim with one. any idea where it is and how much it costs? Thanks
Kim

Disney does have a program for swimming with the dolphins. It's called "Dolphins in Depth." It's an in-depth, behind-the-scenes experience to learn more about the dolphins and research at The Living Seas. You will meet dolphins up close and personal, in the water.
Duration:3 hours
Location and Time: Meet at 9:45 a.m. Monday through Friday, guests will be greeted at the Guest Relations window outside the main entrance of Epcot.
Restrictions: Guests must be at least 13 years old to attend this program. (Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult). Wetsuits are provided but guests must bring their own swimsuit. Guests will be getting in the water up to their waist for 30 minutes. (No swimming or SCUBA diving during the interaction)
Cost: $140 per person; includes a videotape of your experience, refreshments, and a T-shirt. Theme park admission is not required or included.

**Note: no cameras or video equipment allowed. Expectant mothers are very strongly discouraged from participating. It is the dolphin's choice to participate in the research sessions as well as the interactions. For more information and reservations call (407) WDW-TOUR (407) 939-8687.

There is also a place called Discovery Cove -- it is owned and operated by SeaWorld. The website for more info is http://www.discoverycove.com.

You can also get Discovery Cove info at this LINK
I've been before - it was really nice plus comes with a 7 day pass to SeaWorld. THe dolphin interaction is very brief (your sesson lasts 30 min. but most of that is standing in the water with a trainer watching the dolphins do tricks, etc... - for one brief , joyful 30 seconds you are "carried to shore while holding on to the dolphin's fin").

Discovery Cove is owned by SeaWorld, and they have a dolphin swim program too. Here is their website: Discovery Cove It costs abt $220 per person, but it is more than just a dolphin swim - it also includes snorkeling on a coral reef, a sting ray pool, free flight aviary and tropical river.

There's also a discussion board here on the DIS about Sea World and Discovery Cove SW/DC board for more information.

We're going to DC in May, I can't wait!
