can it be done?? How cold is it? Not sure if it is worth it to pack my dd's arsenal of swim toys etc

I've bookmarked this site on my computer for Disney research! I hope you're able to access it:

We're going NEXT November....the second week...and we, too, are hoping to be able to swim. Travelling all the way to Florida from here (NY) and not being able to swim seems ridiculous!
Have fun!

Our cousins live in Orlando and do not heat their pool and can swim from about march- december... We were at AKL on Valentines day and the pool was packed... They heat the water so you should be just fine...

You should be able to swim. The weather in Orlando is pretty much the same there as it is here on the coast of Texas. A poster on another website gave me that info. In Nov. around here it is usually in the mid 70's. :sunny: We are going the 3rd week of Nov. and we are definetly going to take a dip to relax:) Hope I helped.

Its been cold in VA and looking for a little "heat" in Orlando. Can't wait. Thanks again for the replies.

We just got back this weekend from WDW and were able to swim. It was hot almost every day. On two mornings it was cool enough for a light sweatshirt for the kids, but it was warm by lunch time.

We live in New Orleans and are used to hot weather, and Orlando STILL seemed hot to us! I wouldn't expect the weather to change much in the next couple of weeks, so you should be fine. I think there were a couple of evenings where it was a bit too cool and windy for us to want to swim, but if you plan to do it early enough in the afternoon, you should be fine.

Last November we were able to swim about 3 out of 6 days. The other days were just a bit too cool. Good Luck!:D

We go the beginning of November every year. We swim almost every day. The weather is usually good and the pools are heated.

the first week of December (2 years ago) and went swimming a few times. The heated pool helped but it was up to 80 every day and only down to 65 at night. Great weather but you never know!

We've swam down at WDW up until the middle of Thanksgiving week in the past. Just like any other vacation at that time of the year though it can get cool enough where you might shiver a bit getting out, especially early evening.

We went the 2nd week of November in 2001 and it was too cold to swim. BUT...it was overcast the entire week, we never saw the sun once. Even with the pool heated, it was not enjoyable.
