Okay... another dumb question for a first time cruiser!
So I've got my KTTW card, and maybe some other CC, and maybe a few Dollars cuz I'm on an excursion... and I've got my plastic lanyard thingy to put them all in, but do I swim with them? Leave it on my neck, tuck it in my bottoms! :earseek: Ladies bikini bottoms dont have that convenient pocket inside like mens swim shorts!
Last year my Sis, tucked a ziploc bag of $$$ in her top at Blizzard Beach, and one slide later, bye bye!!! :rotfl2:
I'm a bit nervous leaving my CC or $$$ on a boat when I'm snorkeling under the surface!

I also read that you shouldn't put your KTTW next to a CC, cuz it could de-magnetize... and not work. :confused3

So what do you do?

On board, I just left my KTTW card in the lanyard. You won't need any cash or anything else on board.

When we leave the ship, I use the plastic, waterproof, floating box that is on the lanyard. There is enough room for cash, id's, your KTTW cards.

When I am in the water, I safety pin it to the top of my suit. On our first trip, I had been snorkeling and when I pulled off the vest, off came the box and I didn't realize it. I found it in the sand almost completely buried.

If you can find plastic or even the paper covers for the KTTW and credit cards you should be ok. Maybe even a small piece of thin cardboard to slide between them.

You can find the box on board, but they are slim. I found them at Galyans and sports stores.

When I was getting back on the ship in Nassau a family was behind me and had come back from a snorkeling excursion. Three of them lost their KTTW cards and I never did find out how they handled it as I boarded before them.

We purchased one of the little dry boxes on a lanyard...It worked great. Just tucked the KTTW card in the box, along with our DL and CC. That way I had it with me around my neck at all times. (only tucked the DL and CC in the dry box when we got off the ship).

We purchased one before the trip at REI. Thinking the ones on the ship would be more costly....but wish I would have waited because they had the same thing...but with the DCL logo on it...at the same price.

We use the plastic box called a surf safe for CC and when going to the pool etc. For excursions with swimming and shopping involved we found a fanny pack called a splash caddy. It is nylon on the outside and has a heavy waterproof zip lock bag inside. Easily holds a full walled. We used it when we did Sea Trekkin' in St. Thomas and it worked great.

The waterproof "float box" has been my choice..........

I echo that I wish I would have waited to buy my water wallet onboard.

They had tons of them and they had the DCL logo on them and were cheaper than what I paid at Sun, Ski , Sport ......(can't ever remember the name of that store!)

Just buy one onboard, put your stuff in it and tuck it somewhere hidden in your bag. If it's a reputable company scheduled through Disney (and they would have to be to get to work with them) you will have no problem.

Good luck- wish I was going again soon! :goodvibes
