Swimming onbard for the non-trained?

Is it true that children cannot go into any of the pools onboard if they are not potty trained?

Yes, it's true. No swim diapers are allowed either. There is a small play area off of the Mickey Pool where the little ones can get wet. It's kind of like a big black tube and water sprays into it. Some people bring little blow up pools and set themselves up near the pool so that the little ones can get wet and play without contaminating the pool in the case of a potty accident.

The play area is actually one of Mickey's ears (the one on starboard side). We thought it was pretty nice. It has maybe an inch or so water in it, with fountains coming out of the sides of his ear. I have a 2 year old who had a great time in there. We had brought her a couple of plastic cups & a bucket & she had a blast filling up the cups, etc. On the Eastern cruise, it was pretty much shaded in the mid afternoon, which was great for protecting her skin.
