We've never been as late in the year as late October, but will be this year. I understand all the resort pools are heated(?) Assuming this is this case, I assume swimming that time of year is fine?

Thanks much.

We've played in the pools at Disney (yes, they are heated) up to and even at Christmas time. Always pack your swim wear for the fall, it's Florida.

It's hot in October in Orlando. We've gone swimming at the water park in January and November.

October can still be very hot & humid. We usually swim most days. Pools are heated to 80.

I'd say Yea...& we've done 3 Jersey weeks to date...Which is 1st week in November..:confused3( And you could barely get me n the kids out of the water LoL .The water is set for 85* in the main pools, & some of the smaller pools too, & I'm sure even in late Oct. you'll have temps in the 80's...albeit most likely low .

Pick a time, roughly mid day breaks ( from the parks ) At least it'll be at the warmest part of the day.:thumbsup2

if you are coming from the northern US or Canada, October in FL will feel mighty warm! We've been there many times during Jersey Week and we've always gotten in the pool at least a few days.

We had to bail from MK last December it was so hot. Spent most of the afternoon in the pool and then the next day made some more time to spend in the pool. It can be a bit too cool after dark although as I recall we spent some time in the pool after dark too because it was so warm.

The year I went the last week in October in never got below 90 degrees all week long, it was still super hot.

Two years ago, December, we went swimming. It was a little cool, but not cold enough to have us get out.

We are going this Nov/Dec and we plan on packing the suits.

I've been several times in October (early though late October), and it's consistently been HOT. Temps in the 80s and 90s, which is amplified when you're in the parks surrounded by people. Unless you're from the Sahara and think that 80/90 degree temps are 'cool', you'll be fine swimming in October!

We have swam in the resort pools and visited the water parks in November, December, January and February. While some days may get too cold, most were fine.

We have gone in November on most of our trips. Other than the cold snap we got a few years ago for 2 days or a rainy day on 2 trips we could use the pool . We always plan pool time in the afternoon

I've never been in October to WDW specifically, but being in Florida in October is often still very warm pool weather. We were even swimming on NYE/New Years day last year at WDW so I would bring your swimsuits

Yes....we were there over Halloween and swam all the time. We've even swam in January (though we can't count on swimming every day---warm days and cool days). October...no problem

Whew, thank goodness for this info! I'm hoping the first weekend of November I can dip my toes in the pool.

It can be too cold for me, especially in the evening, but I'm a native Floridian and I'm a total baby about it. My kids, however, have no problem (they are also natives, but they are kids, so...they'll swim even if they are turning blue). Bring your suits and enjoy! At the very least, it should be nice during the day.
