We are going to the World in late January and staying through early February 2005 at the All Star Movies Resort. is it normally warm enough to use the pools this time of the year?..Whats the average temperature in Orlando?..thanks
It really depends on the weather, since it can vary pretty greatly during that time period. When we were there in Feb 2003, the weather in our one week trip ranged from high of low 60's to high of high 70's. For us, the days of high 70's even were a little chilly, but swimming was possible. The average high around that time is low 70's, so expect that type of weather, though it can get very cold at night, low 50's to low 30's if a cold snap is in place. Here is a link to the average temperatures for the month of January.
It all depends what part of the country you are coming from. When I lived in PA and came to WDW we went in Jan and Feb and used the pools. We also went to TL and BB. Somedays were a little chilly when we got out of the water but ran back to the room.
Remember the pools at WDW are heated. We went last Jan. and we went swimming. The pool was 80 and the weather outside was 40. Cold when we got out but warm inside.
We went the last week in January last year. Our whole family minus DW went swimming everyday and even in the evening. Steam coming off the water, nice. I say count on swimming everyday you are there. It is fantastic.
We're with the rest of the Northerners. We're from Michigan and if the water isn't frozen over, we're swimming. They heat the pools nicely. We swim at WDW in all the "cold" months.
