At the end of July we will be heading to Disney for two weeks. Do you take your own life vests for your children or can you rent them? If you rent them can someone tell me how much they are? Also are the avail. to rent at BB and pools? I am just trying to decide if I should buy one to bring or not...THANKS in advance for all your input!!

they were available for free at the values. But I dont know if they have on small enough for a 15 month old. My DS was 22 months and they were really big on him. YOu could get baby one of those swim suits with the built in life jacket....

At Pop, there were bins of life vests next to the pools. At BB, you can get them at the locker rental place. I think I had to show a driver's license to get one at BB. No charge at either location.

If I had a 15mo and wanted her to have a life vest, I'd bring my own from home. The XXS size available at Disney was huge on my DD at ~28 months, and she slipped down into it far enough that it didn't keep her head out of the water, even with everything tightened all the way up. (She's very skinny.) Even at 4yo, she found the life vests to be too big around to hold her securely.

I would bring whatever you use at home too.

I have brought the swimmies & swim rings for my kids that they are comfortable with.
