i know this sounds like a stupid question, but.....are the swimming pools open at the resorts in december? some of the resorts have some awesome slides and it might help to decide which one to go to if the pools aren't open. LOL does anyone know?

We stayed at pop last December and the pools were open. The water is heated but it can be cold when you get out. The temps were in the 70's when we were there.

The pools are heated & open year round. I've been to WDW in Nov & it was to cold to swim and in Feb & it was 80. You just never know about winter in Orlando

We stayed at POP last Thanksgiving week and used the pools. I think they said they were heated to 82 or 86 degrees but I'm not sure. Anyway, the weather was in the 70s during the day and we enjoyed getting in the pool in the late afternoon.

When we stayed at Pop when it first open it was in the 30's at night and 50's during the day. People were swimming. You would see steam coming off the water. But I guess for people that are from the north, they'd rather swim. I remember when we lived in Western NY (Canandaigua, Finger Lakes region, We're Floridians and wanted to experience winter) Swimming for the schools began in December. By the time my daughter walked into the house her hair was frozen. LOL

We've stayed at the Dolphin and GF in Dec/January. The pools are heated and it's OK when in the water but getting out is c-o-l-d! Kids don't seem to mind this but I do! Keep in mind also that Disney does pool renovations during the colder months--just something to watch. Enjoy! :flower:

Two years ago we went the first week of December, and we got in 3 days of swimming, and probably could have had more if we had decided to. The temps for most of the 8 day stay were mid-high 70s, however there were two days when temps barely got into the low 60s. I'd still take your suits. You will probably get the chance.

HAVE FUN!!

Where can I find a rehab schedule?

I've been several times in December and January. I know the pools are open, but there's no way you could get me in a pool when it's that cold outside. All the times I've been in winter, I've NEVER seen it above about 72 or so for a high, and upper 40's for lows. That's just too cold for me to swim.
