We're going to WDW the first week of December!! Is it normally warm enough to swim or is it just wishful thinking on our part!!
What is the normal temperature during this time of year?
Thank you :)

Since the pools are heated, it's possible that it will be warm enough unless there's a cold front when you go. We swam over Thanksgiving last year, and we're used to living in the South where it's hot. You're probably used to swimming when it's cooler than we are.

We have gone swimming in Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb on visits to WDW. I can't remember a trip where it's been too cold for us to rule it out. :)

Sometimes we were the only ones in the pool, but with the heated water, and a sweatshirt or warm cover-up, we didn't have any problems. And the hot tubs are really nice when it's chilly out. :)

We've swam in Jan and Feb when it was barely in the 30's and the water parks were closed because of the cold. People pass us in the pool and just comment we must be from the north! The guy covering the flowers at Disney because of a frost warning told us he can't remember a day when someone didn't go in the pool! The best part is, we come in down jackets...so not only do we have something warm to put on when we get out..but often the parks look like just the Northerns are out in the cold..since we can dress for it! The short sleeve people don't hang out long when it's in the 30's.

Thank you so much for your replies!! It looks like we'll be packing the swim gear!! We're from Illinois so anything over 50 degrees in the winter will feel warm to us!!!

We are also going at that time, even if it's not too warm it's still
very humid so a quick dip will feel good.

None of the Disney resorts have an indoor pool.

We've gone twice in December - 12/16-26/1999 and 12/15-22/2001. In '99 there was maybe one day when it was warm enough to swim (of course the hot tub at the Wilderness Lodge was still packed on Christmas Eve - even though it was in the 40's!)

In 2001, we could swim every day. It was cool (70's) in the early moring, but the heated pools made it no problem.

Don't count on it, but don't rule it out either!

Oh, 1999 was awful wasn't it Mr. Shiny!

We've always been able to swim - Jan, Feb, Nov, & Dec. Maybe 'cuz we're from the north, but it's always great.

We've visited mostly in December (including last year) and I don't remember a time that we couldn't swim night and day.

'99 was bad! We had tickets for the last MVMCP, but it rained the entire night (first rain in 2 months, I think they said). Being from Chicago, it felt like fall to us, but it certainly didn't feel like Florida. On the upside, we didn't sweat!
