I hope I've posted this question in the right place??

We will be in Disney (CSR) Dec. 7-14 and are wondering if we should plan on it being swimming weather? I realize the pools are heated but not sure HOW cold it will be? Guessing too cold to want to swim?

The answer is maybe. That time of year can be in the 80s (good for swimming) or 40s (not so great). Bring your suits and watch the weather. If it looks warm take advantage of it that day. :)

Frankly for me it's too cold but I live in SW Fla and won't swim in water less than 80 degrees. It will be chilly to cold. Though it's warm during the day, the nights allow the water to cool.

You'll definately see people swimming. Down here in the winter northerners come down and swim, yet I feel that the water is FREEZING!

I depends on what your threshold is. For me, if it's 50 degrees or so, I love to swim in heated pools, so no matter what time of year I went to Disney I'd plan on swimming. You sound a little more apprehensive, so the above poster's advice is probably right.
All I can say is that it is better to over-pack.... plan on doing some swimming, and if the weather is off then switch your plans and do something else! Go with the same idea as if you were going during a month where a thunderstorm might well ruin a day meant for swimming.....

Ha ha I think I just validated your diagnosis!

Yep, that's always been our experience, too. We bring everything from swimsuits to sweatshirts and usually can use both on the same trip, depending on the day. FL temps that time of year can vary widely from day to day!

The odds are pretty good that you'll be able to swim during the day. After dark, the temperature drops about 20 degrees most days and swimming may not be possible.

We were there the first week of December last year.. We had 2 days suitable for swimming and one day that was so cold I stayed in the hotel and sent the rest of the crew to the parks without me! It was really odd weather - hot, cold, cool, warm, windy.. The only thing we missed (luckily) was rain..

There's just no telling for sure..;)
