I am becoming very interested in Summer Bay due to the white sand beach and swimmable (I hope) lake (plus shuttle service to disney). Does anyone know if there are any other skyauction properties that offer a swimmable lake?
Thank you
Suzy V.

most lakes in florida aren't swimable.

they have a bacteria that is very, very bad on your ears.

plus they can have without notice alligaterators.

Disney stop swimming in the lakes around 10 years (might be longer) ago.

On the Summer Bay web site, it mentions that the lake is spring fed. Does that mean that gators could still possibly be lurking around/bacteria there?
Sorry for my ignorance, I live north or Toronto (no gators).
Thank you

gators can and do show up anywhere in Florida.

Our climate is getting hotter so they are now showing up in Ala.....

Yes, they both can still show up. I live in FL & would never swim in a lake anywhere in this state. I was born & raised in NY. NY's lakes are beautiful & grew up swiming in them. I have been here in FL for 14 years & have never, nor will I ever go in one. Not only are there gators & bacteria but also water moccison (cotton mouth) snakes as well :scared1:
