We are doing the Land/Sea package in September...the only thing my DD (6yo) wants to do is swim with Dolphins. Is there a shore excursion in Nassau that will allow this or any other suggestions?
Thanks!

Nassau has a Blue Lagoon excursion. One is a Swim with the dolphins and one is a Dolphin Encounter. You can check out the website www.dolphinswim.com

My son and I did the encounter and it was fantastic. I encourage you to do a dolphin excursion with your DD.

Hi,
My gd did the Dolphin Encounter and loved it---Nassau. They don't actually go out and swim with them with the encounter. But they are in the water with them. You should be able to see the difference between the encounter and swim if you go to Nassau and check on recreational activities or such. I can't remember the site.

we swam with the dolphins in freeport last april ... we had to book the excursion ourselves ... since at the time, disney was only offering the "encounter". if you book directly with UNEXSO you will be responsible for your own transportation to Port Lucaya (very easy ... $5 per person cab ride). it was great fun and I would highly recommend it to anyone ... it was truly an experience of a lifetime. They only take 12 swimmers at a time and you are divided into 2 groups of 6 ... each group has roughly 45 minutes of actual swim time with 2 dolphins ... cost is a little steep at $139 per person, but like I said ... it was worth every penny! There are restrictions though ... I think you must be at least 54 inches in height ... something to consider if you want to take children. if you are interested you can call UNEXSO directly at (800-992-3483) or check out their website at www.unexso.com ...

My DD's (ages 14 and 10) and I have a Dolphin swim at Blue Lagoon scheduled for this Friday 6/14 when we sail on the Wonder the 13th. We booked the excursion ourselves, as DCL does not have this particular excursion, only the dolphin encounter. We booked it with the site listed above without any difficulty. They did recommend booking early (I booked in March for June) as they only have limited space and it fills quickly. We will let you know how it is. Also on Dave's website I read about the same dolphin swim I believe, and they enjoyed it! Irishmom23

We just did Dolphin Encounter a few weeks ago and loved it! You get to hug, kiss, feed and dance with the dolphin. I put myself and rest of family in a different group so that I could get good pictures. This meant, I sat on one side of the dock while they got in the water onto a platform to do their "tricks"! I also had another person take our picture with the dophin while we were posed for the one they take. Be sure you take a camera and put your name and address on it. Also, we booked it ourselves and were told to take a boat ferry to another island where we would leave from but we could have left from a place just down from where the ship was docked instead. That costs us $15.00 and 1 1/2 hours as well!
