Does anyone know of any hotels in the Orlando area that have swim up pool bars? We will be staying there April 2-4 before checking into the Disney Vacation Club. We stayed at a hotel in Florida that had a swim up bar and the kids loved it. Thanks!

I think the HYatt Grand Cypress had one but I was there 18 years ago.

The Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress's pool bar is not truly a "swim up" bar. It is located down in the underground grotto area but you have to get out of the pool to sit at the bar.

I've often wondered why there are no true swim up bars at any of the major Orlando hotels. Several years ago, we vacationed in Puerto Rico and stayed at the Hyatt Regency Cerromar Beach which had a swim up bar and my oldest son, who was just four at the time, still goes on and on about how great he thought it was.
Me too, for that matter:)

Because it is MESSY and causes problems with the pool cleanliness.

People spill drinks, get druck, pass out and drown. NOT FUN! I really think that it may be health and safety rules. You rarely see these in US hotels, but do in the Caribbean and Mexico.

My family had a great time at the Ramada Plaza Beach Resort at Fort Walton Beach. Its a great family resort with a swim up pool bar. Thats why I originally asked if there were any in the Orlando area. Sorry CarolA if you had a bad experience, but my family actually enjoys these and thinks they are fun!
